Can a copper wire that is powered to a 12V car outlet brun through cotton?
It depends on the length and thickness of the wire, and how much current is allowed to flow through it. Even still, I would use a fireproof material.Slightly confused, but I think I got it. Copper wire only generates heat when you are running too much current through it. I would stay away from cotton, use vinyl or similiar. There are materials that will generate heat that dont require the current that copper will. Look into them.
