Car Black Box GPS Cameras
Article by Exeros-Technologies.com
It has long been known that black boxes have been used across the aviation industry to determine pilot and aircraft faults in the event of an accident. However, the transition of this technology to cars and road vehicles has also proven to help insurance companies and relevant authorities to solve car and vehicle insurance claims providing greater evidential data and resources. A car black box with an accident GPS camera can therefore be used to benefit both the consumer and insurance provider whilst the insured vehicle and driver are on the road. Typically, in insurance claims hearsay evidence is provided that often fails to encapsulate accurately the events that have unfolded before, during and after a road incident / accident. This can be due to a number of reasons, such as, the stress of being involved in an accident or even an attempt to cover up true events due to financial or legal circumstances.
However, with the evolution of black box camera systems and the integration of GPS technology vehicle speeds can be accurately calculated in the event of a road incident / accident. Moreover, highly developed systems also plot the vehicle location and route taken. This information alongside video, audio and accurate time and date stamp provides crucial data to enable both crash investigators and insurance claims specialists to ascertain specific crash conditions and ultimately assign fault in a time effective manner
The benefits of car black box technology are clear for us to see and vehicles that utilise these systems will help to provide essential crash data in the event of a traffic accident. The information outlined in this article demonstrates why car black box systems and GPS cameras are a valuable tool for car insurance companies when they are processing a claim.

Roadhawk car black box camera catches driver doing 125mph
This is a higher quality version of a video recorded on the Roadhawk RH-1. A customer's Monaro being driven by a local garage at more than 125mph. A high speed dangerous chase on busy public roads. This is a screen capture of the software running on desktop. The original video is a smooth 25fps. The RoahHawk RH-1 is a vehicle black box data and video recorder. It stores GPS, Video and G-Force data on a constant loop on a normal SD memory card. When playing back the video on the viewing software provided it overlays your GPS co-ordinates on to a Google Earth map in real time and displays your current speed and shock data. RH-1 can be set to always record on a loop or in shock mode it only keeps the video if it detects a sudden change in G-Force. The video can be exported to a normal .AVI file and then used as evidence in the event of an accident.
